As a Tire Service Advisor, your essential job functions will include the following:
  • Sell/assist with sale of tires to customers on the service drive with the goal of exceeding assigned sales and productivity goals.
  • Inspecting tires on the service lane.
  • Diagnosing problems tire related problems and recommending service.
  • Assuring necessary repairs are completed as ordered.
  • Maintaining effective customer relationships including customers and dealer personnel.
  • Communication and coaching different functions of the dealers.
  • Overseeing customer satisfaction and complaints and solving problems that arise.
  • Completing daily data record and monthly market data analysis.
  • District retail price communication to ASM and PM.
  • Assist in store operations: maintaining inventory, and reporting responsibilities.
  • Warehouse operation & management and inventory planning coordination.
  • Assisting dealership technician for tire installation quality control.
  • Cleaning and maintaining Tire Service Advisor’s work area.
  • Mounting and dismounting tire knowledge.
  • Instruct tire store technicians daily work:
    • Communicate daily work assignments, priorities, and goals.
    • Coordinate work assignments with internal and external customers as necessary.
    • Familiarize the team with special customer needs.
    • Assure the team follows standards/guidelines.
    • Help keep the team focused and on track to the tasks at hand.
    • Request and coordinate workspace assignments, equipment needs and tools to maximize team performance.
    • Provide input to the direct manager on individual performance of team members and staffing change needs.
    • Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team to the direct manager.
    • Provide direction/guidance to the team based on management direction.
    • Other Duties as Assigned
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Two or three years of tire service experience, preferably in or from a retail tire and service environment.
  • Proficient computer skills to include experience with MS Office and online order management applications.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in Chinese
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English preferred
  • Excellent training and coaching skills to 4S aftersales personnel.

Reports To:  Inside Sales Supervisor

As an Inside Account Manager, your essential job functions will include the following:

 

Account Management

  • Use consultative selling process to penetrate key accounts
  • Administer appropriate planning to deliver high impact business plans to decision makers, via telephone
  • Make significant contacts and presentations to decision makers, via webex tutorial, to ensure dealership alignment with Dealer Tire program
  • Identify competitive threats, trends and issues
  • Develop and maintain consistent contact schedule with key-target dealers
  • Solve and resolve customer relations issues
  • Maintain accurate and timely internal records of key contacts and other related activities
  • Distribute pertinent industry and/or product developments to customer base
  • Provide inventory management services to customer base
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and share it with customer base

 

Marketing/Promotion

  • Assist dealers in marketing and promoting tire sales through Alliance programs
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of pricing lists, retail selling guides, special promotion materials, etc.; distribute them to customer base
  • Provide tire merchandising market support to customer base
  • Promote point of purchase usage

 

Sales/Business Development

  • Meet/exceed regional sales and productivity goals
  • Deliver the Dealer Tire program to assigned dealers (book of business)
  • Develop new business through alliance partner field contacts
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet/exceed goals

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Meet/exceed objectives as it pertains to dealer calls, presentations and training sessions (provided via webex tutorial)
  • Provide feedback and strategic information to the Sales Management team
  • Submit timely contact reports and forecast reports to the Sales Manager as required
  • Maintain contact with appropriate departments within Dealer Tire in order to ensure maximum success
  • Complete all administrative documents required to process orders

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Must possess and demonstrate flexibility with changing work responsibilities, customer needs and market conditions
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of sales/service experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Tire wholesaling/retailing industry preferred
  • Successful completion of Dealer Tire’s “Tires 101” training program
  • Prior experience selling and project managing a book of business
  • Skilled at taking in many inputs, prioritizing, coordinating resources and executing
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels and good communication with dealer management and Dealer Tire
  • Proficiency at intermediate level with all Microsoft Office products
  • Strong and quick assessment skills with ability to critically think in the moment and add value
  • Strong customer relationship skills and ability to sell at the top
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in Chinese
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English preferred
